I GOT A JOB OFFER!!  Oh my god!  I am freaking out!   I am sooooooo excited!!

Now I don't need to worry about my job any more.  I don't need to do worse case scenario - looking for a language school.  I can go back to my regular life schedule - learning things that i am really interested in -language, going to the gym(although I just went one time, I've decided I'll go more in the futre), going to parties and hanging out in Boston!

That company called Boston Solutions Internationl (http://www.bsiboston.com/) is a premiere oursourced sales and marketing firm in the Greater Boston area.  They have provided promotional and sales support for Fortune 500 companies such as Sprint, AT&T, Energy America, Stamps.com, American Express, AOL TimeWarner and Verizon.  The client i'm gonna to work with is Verizon, a telecom company with a monopolistic position in Massachusetts with 80% market share.   I, as a Verizon's Account Representative, have to visit their clients, most of whom are small and medium businesses, in person and across sell more products to them.

Basically, it's a sales job.  I never thought of that I could be a SALES representative with my poor English, compared with native speakers, of course i am not as good as them.  Today I went to the career center to tell one of the career consultants about the job offer I got.  She was so surprised that I can take that job as an international student.   She said, "It's a sales job on B2B market.  Supposely, the person they're gonna to hire should be very familar with American business culture and need to know a lot of slang, because it needs to talk to people everyday."  In addition, she also mentioned that most of the jobs that international students gets in the United States are analysts or researchers, which means they work with computers more than people.   "You can learn a lot of American business culture from this job.  It's good for you," she added.   I couldn't figure out why I got this job either.  I was thinking maybe i am very enthusiastic and energetic after a long day, since my second-run interview went for a whole day.  Whatever reasons they are, they offer me a position!!

What I can lean from this job, first of all, is English fluency for sure.  Also, I will be taking some trainings for selling tactics, commnication and presentaion skills, professional time management and in-depth product knowledge.   For my future career value, I think after going back to taiwan, if i want to do a sales job marketing to North America, it would be a great value since I know the American business culture.

I am glad that I've achieved my goal, no matter how hard it is.
